I am delighted that GLAM has set up this blog.  The rich content and existing name recognition typical of literary archives means they lend themselves particularly well to outreach via social media.

A recent project by Special Collections at Bradford University shows what can be done with minimal resources (apart from staff expertise!) and avoiding copyright issues.  In Priestley’s Finest Hour, I discussed week by week, as they happened, J.B. Priestley’s famous Postscript broadcasts,  made between June and October 1940, from Dunkirk to the Blitz.  I reflected on what I had learned from the project in this post on Collections in a Cold Climate, my professional blog.
