GLAM Survey of Collecting Policy & Practice:

The University of Leicester Special Collections holds approximately 90 linear metres of papers relating to a number of prominent writers connected with Leicester and its wider community. These include Joe Orton, Sue Townsend, Chris Challis, David Campton, Laura Riding, Andrew Waterman and Caroline Holden. The material, which includes holograph manuscripts, typescripts, correspondence, photographs, family ephemera and business papers, is a rich resource for researchers looking at twentieth-century writers, their work and their relationships with agents, publishers, family and peers.
